Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011); spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017 and 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki also worked as communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left White House in the year 21 were fuelled by her appointment by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement of Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to White House as Communications Director in 2015 , and was there until the end.
